δεν μπορώ να πω οτι στενοχωριέμαι ιδιαίτερα για αυτό...όσο και αν μ άρεσε η πρώτη σαιζόν, θεωρώ οτι ήταν πραγματικά καιρός της μετά τις αμέτρητες κοιλιές και τα ατελείωτα filler...2 επεισόδια μου μένουν, ας ελπίσουμε πως θα το λήξουν όπως του αξίζει...με αξιοπρέπεια...thx για τα νέα φίλε!!!! :) από καιρό τώρα έψαχνα να βρω νέα αν τελικά θα συνεχιστεί ή αν θα κοπεί!!!

Εγω στεναχωρηθηκα πολυ γιατι τα τελευταια επεισοδια της σειρας τα σπανε.Δειχθουν που πραγματικα μπορουσε να φτασει η σειρα αν οι σεναριογραφοι δεν ηταν τοσο χαζοι!

Όπως έγραψα και σε προηγούμενο post η σειρά πληρώνει το άθλιο ξεκίνημα του δεύτερου μέρους της σεζόν.
Οι παραγωγοί δεν εκμεταλεύτηκαν την αλλαγή ημέρας προβολής και φέρθηκαν σαν αρχάριοι πετώντας μας στα μούτρα ένα σωρό filler επεισόδια πριν αρχίσουν να μας δείχνουν κάτι πραγματικά ενδιαφέρον.
Κρίμα γιατί τα τελευταία επεισόδια ήταν πολύ καλά και με κατάληλες διορθώσεις θα μπορούσε να πάει και για τρίτη season.
Περιμένω με αγωνία το Φινάλε και ελπίζω να δω την Κάμερον να μάχεται με τη Γουίβερ!

Ακόμα κι αν αποφασίσουν για διακοπή, μια ενδεχόμενη επιτυχία του Terminator 4 μπορεί να ξαναφέρει το TSCC στις οθόνες μας. Fox είναι αυτή και μα έχει συνηθίσει στις κολοτούμπες... Είναι κρίμα γιατί και ο Filmfreak και ο t0ny3 έχουν δίκιο, οι κοιλιές ήταν απαράδεκτες και μας είχαν ξενερώσει όλους. Κάνει μπαμ, σαν να ήταν γραμμένα 14 επεισόδια και μετά κάποιοι άλλοι έγραψαν τα υπόλοιπα. Καμαρώστε την πάντως, έτσι όπως τελειώνει ο δεύτερος κύκλος με σούπερ επεισόδια, που σου κόβουν την ανάσα και σου αφήνουν μια πικρή γεύση στα χείλη.

Αυτό που ενδιαφέρει νομίζω είναι το σημείο που λέει οτι στο τελευταίο επεισόδιο δεν θα υπάρχει closure στην σειρά αλλά ουσιαστικά θα τελειώσουν το story line της σεζόν (δηλαδή θα δούμε season finale) μόνο και όχι σαν series finale γιατί απλά δεν είχαν χρόνο να το τελειώσουν σωστά.

Εντάξει, ότι δεν τα πήγαινε καλά η σειρά και ακουγόταν απο παντού ότι το FOX ίσως την τσεκουρώσει, δεν ήταν ακριβώς μυστικό εδώ και κάποιους μήνες.

Όμως, ακόμα φήμες είναι όλα αυτά. Τίποτα επίσημο, οπότε δεν χρειάζεται να τη ξεγράψουμε από τώρα.

Μάλιστα την τελευταία φορά που είχαν αρχίσει να φουντώνουν οι φήμες περί "τσεκουρώματος", εγώ θυμάμαι το FOX να δίνει πράσινο φως για πλήρη 2η season. Επίσης συμφωνώ πως η πιο έξυπνη κίνηση για το FOX είναι να δει πως θα τα πάει και η ταινία, γιατί μπορεί να φέρει νέους θεατές και να θερμάνει το ήδη υπάρχον κοινό... ΄

και η πρωτη σεζον απο το παραθυρο σωθηκε, η σειρα ακροβατουσε. Κατα τη γνωμη μου τη χαντακωσε ο προγραμματισμος του καναλιου και η περυσινη απεργια.

Δεν ξερω αν εχει αλλο ζουμι η ιστορια του εξολοθρευτη παντως, νομιζω πως και η ταινια θα ειναι το τελευταιο κεφαλαιο...

Terminator, Dollhouse Get Big 18-49 Demo DVR Boosts

I’m going to add another table to my regular DVR viewing post starting this week, Largest 18-49 Demo Increase from DVR viewing. I’ll be using 18-49 demo ratings as the basis for the calculations, not average viewership. We’ve used average viewership in the past primarily because they were the only Live+7 DVR numbers that were available to us. Now we also have 18-49 Live+7 ratings information, and ultimately they are more an indicator of a show’s future prospects than average viewership. For those of you who are change resistant, I’ll still include the same average viewership DVR tables as before. It will be interesting to compare the differences between the first chart and the third.

Among shows in danger of being canceled, both Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse received big % boosts in their 18-49 demo ratings during the week of March 16-22. While I don’t think it will save either show, it’s yet another bag of grist for the mill. Interestingly, the percentage of people who watched Terminator on the airdate was strikingly low, perhaps because of the NCAA tournament first round games that week.

Enjoy all 3 tables this week. Note that I have also changed the order of the three measured viewing columns from past posts (to ease the production process). Live viewing is first and Live+7 viewing is third. That’s the opposite of the way it used to be.

Πέρα απ' τις μετρήσεις τηλεθέασης κατά τη διάρκεια της προβολής του επεισοδίου , υπάρχουν και οι μετρήσεις DVR, δηλαδή όσοι γράφουν το επεισόδιο και το βλέπουν μια άλλη μέρα. Παρ' όλο που τα κανάλια τις λαμβάνουν υπ' όψην, αυτές οι μετρήσεις παίζουν μικρό [έως καθόλου] ρόλο στην αγορά της διαφήμησης, απ' την οποία αγορά εξαρτάται άμεσα η βιωσιμότητα του καναλιού.

Κριμα παντως γιατι χαρηκα λιγο.Εστω κι αν το αρθρο ελεγε οτι δεν μπορουν τα DVR να αλλαξουν την κατασταση.

Το "χαζό" στην όλη υπόθεση αποδεικνύει ότι πολλοί θέλουν να τη δουν, αλλά τη γράφουν για αργότερα, γιατί λογικά είναι έξω για διασκέδαση. Ή μπορεί να βλέπουν κάτι άλλο και να το έχουν 2η προτίμηση και δε θέλουν να το χάσουν εντελώς.
Επομένως το βλέπουν μια άλλη μέρα, δε βλέπουν τις διαφημήσεις, γιατί υπάρχει επιλογή να μην τις γράφει, κι επομένως δεν αγοράζουν τα προϊόντα κι οι εταιρίες δεν έχουν λεφτά να πληρώνουν τη Summer να εμφανίζεται με μπικίνι.

Τα μεγάλα νούμερα όμως σε DVR αποδεικνύει ότι σε άλλη ώρα, μπορεί αυτά τα άτομα να το βλέπουν live με διαφημήσεις και όλα.
Τώρα όμως για να εξακριβώσουν ακριβώς τι ώρα θα είναι αυτή... είναι κι αυτό ακριβή δουλειά ίσως. Απ' τη FOX που έκοψε μια σειρά όπως το Tru Calling δεν περιμένω και πολλά από άποψης λογικής.

Αυτο που περιμενω (και μαλλον ετσι θα ειναι) ειναι ενα season, και οχι series, finale. Καλυτερο promotion για την ταινια απο μια σειρα 2 χρονων - 31 επεισοδιων- δεν υπαρχει :lol:. Και εφοσον παει καλα η ταινια πιστευω οτι θα συνεχισει και του χρονου η σειρα.

Ενταξει, πιστευω οτι στο τελευταιο επεισοδιο θα κλεισει το θεμα με...

Say Goodbye to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

What a week for Garret Dillahunt! Two season finales that are almost certainly series finales. First, on Life in his role of Roman Nevikov and tonight on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles where he’s played the role of Cromartie and John Henry. I wish it was as easy to pull stats for television as baseball because if it were I could find out easily whether any actors have ever starred in two series finales in one week before.

I don’t really know or care whether some sites have legitimate “Terminator cancellation confirmation” (or for that matter, legitimate copies of finale scripts) or whether they were scams. We’ll find out on the script tonight. As for the show being canceled, sources are not required, the show will absolutely not be renewed. That hasn’t really been in doubt since October.

TV is actually a business that is run by the numbers! Sure, we’re biased because we’re TVbytheNumbers, but like it or not, the ratings do matter. I get it, some people don’t like that. But that’s like not liking that the sun rises in the east instead of the west. There’s just not much to be done about it.

TSCC’s fate was sealed even before it moved to Fridays, and if anyone thought Friday was really going to help its prospects for next year, I don’t understand why. But hey, it enabled FOX to air all the episodes, and the fans ought to be happy about that.

I believe FOX really did want to give Fridays a try to see what happened. But what happened wasn’t good - it hasn’t been good for Dollhouse either. Let me explain. Sure, the expectations are LESS on Fridays. Those shows didn’t need to perform as well as House and Hell’s Kitchen, Fringe or Bones. There is no doubt about that. But unfortunately, for fans of TSCC and Dollhouse, CBS has set the bar for Friday night expectations for new airings of scripted dramas. Currently that bar is set (in its last new episode) at a 2.6 rating with adults 18-49 for Ghost Whisperer and a 1.9 rating for Flashpoint.

FOX may have been very OK with TSCC pulling even 75% of what Ghost Whisperer does. Unfortunately it’s been pulling 50%-60%. While expectations were lower, they were not that much lower.

Dollhouse faces similar challenges. It’s currently doing about 78% of what Flashpoint does, but since Flashpoint only performs at ~73% of Ghost Whisperer, the expectations for Dollhouse versus Flashpoint were probably that it do at least 85%-90% as well. And unfortunately it’s doing a little less than 80%.

Sure, it’s possible Dollhouse could turn things around in its last four episodes, but that’s not very likely. And again, while FOX’s expectations for scripted shows are indeed lower on Friday, there can be no doubt that both shows are underperforming FOX’s hopes.

If DVD sales are high for Dollhouse, anything is possible. If the Terminator movie winds up being a blockbuster that leads to massive sales of season one and season two DVD sets of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, could it be resurrected? Sure. But I don’t know how that is going to shake out. What I am certain of, however, is that when FOX announces its lineups for the 2009-2010 on May 18 none of that, nor online viewing is going to matter. Neither show will be announced as being on the 2009-2010 lineup.

Nope, I don’t have any inside skinny, haven’t seen an official press release and don’t really care whether the sets have been torn down or left up. I just care about what makes sense based on the numbers, and in the case of TSCC, the numbers aren’t remotely good enough to even be considered a bubble show. There’s a much better case for bubble-dom for Dollhouse, but relative to even Flashpoint, not a very good case for it, really.

I’m looking forward to tonight’s finale of TSCC. I hope it’s great. The good news is that some day, Summer Glau will be back. Just not on that show.

Terminator finale numbers don't help chances

Possible series finale for Fox's cyborg show does little to improve chances at renewal with flat numbers; Dollhouse matches season low.

Fan favorite Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles had its last shot to prove to Fox that it was worth renewing and the fans came out in droves! Well, not really. The season finale performed on par with the rest of the series, which doesn't bode well for a series pickup.

Friday's ender pulled in a 1.3 rating and 5 share in the adult demo, says TV by the Numbers, which is pretty much consistent with the show's recent performance. It was third in its time period, losing to a repeat of Wife Swap… eek!

Terminator's Friday night partner Dollhouse continues to struggle, matching a season low in the adult demo (1.4).

The two shows perform well when DVR playback numbers are figured in, but unless Fox finds a way to make money off of DVR playback, it looks grim for both.

Will you try to save either Termintor or Dollhouse?

Report: Terminator is done

Online site says Fox won't be renewing Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles; Fox staying quiet.

Networks love to play coy about the future of their shows. Even if they know the answer to the question of whether or not "Show X" will be back or not, they just smile and say, "We haven't made a decision yet." Heck, even when the new fall schedules are posted without "Show X," networks tend to be cagey. Just rip off the Band-Aid already!

Networks may have a hard time dumping shows, but show insiders have no problem dishing on the relationship between studio execs and the programs they air. And the latest chatter inside Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles isn't good.

According to EW.com's Michael Ausiello (who in the past has been very reliable) Fox has already made the decision to cancel Terminator. Ausiello cites the ever-present inside source, who says, "It's done. Everybody has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Another source says, "Consider it cancelled."

And what does Fox say? "No decision has been made yet."

Terminator fans can keep their fingers crossed for a last-minute pardon, but it doesn't look good. Let the comment explosion begin!

The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Not Renewed

Resist the urge to nuke the messenger, but multiple sources are telling me that Fox will not be renewing Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season.

"It's done," maintains a source close to the show. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Adds a network insider: "Consider it canceled."

The one bright spot? Despite horrific ratings, Fox isn't ready to declare SCC dead and buried -- at least not officially. "No decision has been made yet," insists a network rep. "We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."

Rough translation: It won't be back.

Oh, I just thought of one other bright spot: At least the show went out on top creatively. Last Friday's finale was an action-packed, closure-filled triumph. The only thing left unresolved is what Summer Glau will do for an encore. I'm thinking 24 should hire her as next season's Big Bad.

Με λίγα λόγια: Αναμένουμε επίσημη ανακοίνωση όταν το FOX δημοσιεύσει το πρόγραμμά του για το 2009-2010, γύρω στις 18 Μαϊου. O Brian Austin Green λέει ότι το φινάλε ήταν απλά ένα season φινάλε (και όχι series) και ότι υπάρχει πολύ καλό σχέδιο για το που μπορεί να πάει η υπόθεση.

Πραγματικα εγω φέτος ξενέρωσα..... Η 1η season μου ειχε αρέσει παρα πολυ οπως και τα πρωτα 8 επεισοδια της 2ης....αλλα απο το 9ο περιπου επεισοδιο μεχρι το 17 εκανε τρομερη κοιλια, σε σημειο που περνουσα τα επεισοδια σε fastforward και γενικα η ωρα δεν περνουσε με τιποτα!!Τα 45 λεπτα ηταν σαν 1:30 ωρα!

Αλλα απο 17-22 η σειρα πηρε τα πανω της και ξαναγυρισε στα στανταρτς της 1ης season...μετα απο αυτα τα επεισοδια δεν θελω να κοπει :( Αν με ρωτουσαν στη μεση της σαιζον θα ελεγα no problem!!

εγώ πάλι μάλλον προτιμάω να κοπεί...η 2η σαιζόν με εξαίρεση τα τελευταία, αλλά και 3-4 ακόμα επεισόδια ήταν απίστευτα βαρετή και γεμάτη fillers χωρίς ουσία...το οτι τα τελευταία ήταν επεισοδιάρες ωφείλεται πιθανότατα στο γεγονός οτι ήθελαν να τα συμμαζέψουν σε περίπτωση που κοπεί...οπότε ποιος μου λέει οτι μια 3η σαιζόν δεν θα είναι σαν την δεύτερη???δεν σκοπέυω να δω μια ολόκληρη σαιζόν ακόμα για να δω 4-5 καλά επεισόδια...

και πέρα από αυτό δεν βρίσκω τι συνέχεια μπορεί να έχει με τον τρόπο που τελείωσε...

anyway η fox αποφασίζει και όχι εγώ...πάντως δεν καταλαβαίνω από που και ως που κρίνεται το μέλλον της σειράς από την κινηματογραφική ταινία...η ταινία άμα σκίσει στο box office (που έτσι προβλέπεται) θα είναι κυρίως χάρη στα ιχυρά ονόματα στο cast αλλά και στην παραγωγή...το TSCC είναι άλλη ιστορία...

εγώ πάλι μάλλον προτιμάω να κοπεί...η 2η σαιζόν με εξαίρεση τα τελευταία, αλλά και 3-4 ακόμα επεισόδια ήταν απίστευτα βαρετή και γεμάτη fillers χωρίς ουσία...το οτι τα τελευταία ήταν επεισοδιάρες ωφείλεται πιθανότατα στο γεγονός οτι ήθελαν να τα συμμαζέψουν σε περίπτωση που κοπεί...οπότε ποιος μου λέει οτι μια 3η σαιζόν δεν θα είναι σαν την δεύτερη???δεν σκοπέυω να δω μια ολόκληρη σαιζόν ακόμα για να δω 4-5 καλά επεισόδια...

και πέρα από αυτό δεν βρίσκω τι συνέχεια μπορεί να έχει με τον τρόπο που τελείωσε...

anyway η fox αποφασίζει και όχι εγώ...πάντως δεν καταλαβαίνω από που και ως που κρίνεται το μέλλον της σειράς από την κινηματογραφική ταινία...η ταινία άμα σκίσει στο box office (που έτσι προβλέπεται) θα είναι κυρίως χάρη στα ιχυρά ονόματα στο cast αλλά και στην παραγωγή...το TSCC είναι άλλη ιστορία...

Το θεμα ειναι οτι με την ταινια μπορει να πορωθει καποιος κοσμος ή να κοινησει το ενδιαφερον καποιων αλλων και να δουν τη σειρα.Γενικα θα γινει λιγος ντορος με την ταινια.Θα ειναι και τριλογια.Καταλαβαινεις.;)
Παντως δεν πιστευω να αλλαξει κατι δραματικα η προβολη της ταινιας,απλως υπαρχει παντα μια ελπιδα με την οποια ζουμε!:clapping:

καλά μην το λες!!! από την αρχή της 2ης πέσανε δραματικά τα νούμερα και αυτή όσο πήγαινε και χειροτέρευε αντί να φτιάχνει (εκτός από το τέλος είπαμε)...μακάρι να έχεις εσύ δίκιο και σε περίπτωση που υπάρξει 3η σαιζόν να μην καταντήσει άλλο ένα Heroes - Prisonbreak a.k.a. katrakila shows...απλά από οτι έχω δει μέχρι τώρα άμα μια σειρά πάρει την κάτω βόλτα, πολύ δύσκολα ανεβαίνει πάλι...

αλλά όλα αυτά είναι μόνο υποθέσεις...να δούμε πρώτα τι θα αποφασίσει η φίλτατη fox...αν και δεν το βλέπω για συνέχεια...

Η ιστορια σαφως δεν τελειωσε αφου οι σεναριογραφοι δεν εδωσαν series finale αλλα season finale.Το αν θα υπαρξει 3η σεζον δεν εξαρταται απο το αν τελειωσε η ιστορια αλλα απο τα νουμερα τα οποια ηταν τραγικα.Παντως περιμενουμε τις επομενες μερες μπας και γινει κανενα θαυμα και υπαρξει 3η σεζον!!:grin:

"I think it had a nice little run. It was a good show. It was not an either or [with Dollhouse]. We did see it tailing off a bit [in the ratings]. It had a nice creative core, but, ultimately, we made the bet on Dollhouse, so that's it for [Sarah Connor]... We make no apologies. We gave it a lot of support and some consistent scheduling. We tried and thought it was time to move on."

James Middleton, executive producer of Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, told SCI FI Wire that he remains passionate about continuing the story of the canceled series in another format, but does not want to get anybody's hopes up. Middleton had producing credits on both the series and the film Terminator Salvation.

"I feel like I don't want to raise anybody's expectations about what's going to happen with those characters," Middleton said in an exclusive phone interview Wednesday while promoting Terminator: The Machinima Series. "I can tell you that I love those characters. I use a business term, and it sort of belies my emotional investment in these characters, but they are a great franchise asset. My passion for them is not diminished at all, and I'll just leave it at that."

The season finale that became the series finale left fans intrigued about new possibilities. John Connor (Thomas Dekker) travels to the future, where familiar faces such as Derek Reese (Brian Austin Green) do not recognize him.

"It was a great way for us to end the season, but we would have liked to have continued," Middleton said. "There's no doubt about it. We liked making that show, and we all worked together really well, but the really great thing we can look back on is we've got 31 episodes of really good television. That's something we can be proud of forever. That's what we'll have to take away from it."

One theory about the ending is that by leaping to the future, John Connor never grew up to become the leader of the human resistance. That would free him of the burden of saving humanity.

"I think that that's the right interpretation, because in the actual footage of the show, we see that Derek doesn't recognize him," Middleton said. "So, by jumping into this future, he has erased his existence in a certain way, and we see that. We see that nobody recognizes him."

Middleton added that leaping to the future changes John Connor's fate. "We would have to have explored that if we did get a third season," he said. "If we had gotten a third season, I should say, we definitely would have explored what it all meant, but I think there's a great moment where we see Allison [Summer Glau], and John's look to her is very meaningful. I think that also would have been a great thing in terms of dramatic potential. Like I said, the show has ended, and it would all be speculation, and I really don't want to raise anybody's expectations."

Whatever becomes of the Sarah Connor Chronicles timeline, Middleton wanted to leave fans with happy thoughts. "The thing that I would say to you, and I'm sure [show runner] Josh [Friedman] would echo this, is we so much appreciated our fans' enthusiasm for these characters," he said. "My enthusiasm for them is undiminished, and it will always be that way."

Αυτό που κατάλαβα την τρίτη φορά που το διάβασα είναι πως το σκεπτικό λέει να υπάρξει ένας συνδετικός κρίκος πριν το T5 μαζί με το TSCC σε DVD...σύμφωνα με τα λεγόμενα του θα είναι ολόκληρο το cast κανονικά και αυτό που μου έκανε εντύπωση είναι ότι θα αναπτυχθεί περισσότερο ο χαρακτήρας της Αlex (the Latino girl) αν θυμάστε που δεν μίλαγε...

κάτι τέτοιο...ίσως να είναι mini-series κατευθείαν σε DVD όπως γίνετε για πολλά (2 επεισόδια ας πούμε 90' λεπτών) και η λογική μου λέει ότι εάν πάει αυτό καλά και αν πάει και το T5 καλά τότε ίσως και να σκεφτούν κάτι άλλο...αυτό κατάλαβα πάντως και από τα άπειρα comments που έχουν γράψει στο blog και έχει κάνει και reply ο blogger(!)

Παιζει ρολο και τι περιμενει ο καθενας απο καποια σειρα. Αν πχ περιμενει σε καθε επισοδειο ασταματητο κυνηγητο, εκρηξεις, μπαμ-μπουμ, και σασπενς στο 100% ...ε μαλλον θα ξενερωνει ευκολα. Ετσι ομως ειναι, δε γινεται να ειναι ολα τα επισοδεια στο τρεξιμο. Προσωπικα δεν χαλαστηκα ιδιαιτερα απο τα πιο αργα επισοδεια και γενικα η σειρα ηταν καλη. Απλα αυτοι που αποφασιζουν κοιτανε μονο τα ψυχρα νουμερα. Κι αλλες σειρες ηταν καλες και κοπηκαν..
