Η δεύτερη σειρά που περιμένω πώς και πώς, αν και αργεί ακόμα. Πρωταγωνιστεί η αγαπημένη μου Elisabeth Mitchell και το concept της σειράς φαίνεται πολύ ενδιαφέρον.

καταρχήν τη χειρότερη ηθοποιία που έχω δει ποτέ σε σειρά:P (κι έχω δει πολλές) , βλεπόταν βέβαια κι είχε ενδιαφέρον σενάριο αλλά δεν ήταν με τίποτα κάτι περισσότερο από μέτρια κατά τη δική μου άποψη.
Γι αυτό και μετά από τόσο ντόρο για το V περιμένω κάτι παραπάνω...

ABC remake of 'V' shuts down; not expected to affect November start date


An ABC spokeswoman confirmed an online report that V – ABC’s much-anticipated remake of the sci-fi miniseries that stars Elizabeth Mitchell and Scott Wolf – has temporarily halted production for two weeks. The hiatus is not expected to affect the drama’s Nov. 3 start date. The spokeswoman added that the production shut down ”allows the writers to catch up to make sure they’re putting out the best show possible.”

Warner Bros. will bring the production of "V" to a halt on Wednesday, but why that is happening is something that is being asked and gossiped about since the announcement was made.

The studio, which is looking to air "V" in November on ABC, said the two-week shutdown was nothing more than a chance to help the writers refresh themselves creatively, taking advantage of a later premiere date than normal.

But a fan blog known as Ilana's "V" Page said there was more to the shutdown than meets the eye. The Writers Guild of America, the site reported, was hearing a dispute between Warner Bros. and original "V" creator Kenneth Johnson that would decide whether or not Johnson would receive a credit on the new series.

"One of my super reliable sources has just informed me that the Writers Guild is having a debate on whether or not ABC's 'V' is a remake or not," the site said. "According to my source, Warner Bros. is now claiming that ABC's 'V' is not a remake. In other words, WB has retracted everything they've stated about a re-imagining of the original 'V.'"

Ilana's site is correct: There is a dispute on whether or not "V" is a remake being heard from the WGA, but it has nothing to do with the production hiatus, Johnson told Airlock Alpha. There are problems with some of the episodic scripts and the writers just need a little time to work that out, thus the stoppage.

At the same time, however, Johnson said he is fighting to keep his name on the show.

Warner Bros. apparently is claiming that the new concept starring Elizabeth Mitchell and Morena Baccarin is so different from the 1980s version created by Johnson that they should no longer have to identify it as a reimagining. By taking Johnson's name off the show, the studio would no longer be obligated to compensate Johnson anywhere near the level he would've been at with a creator's credit, if at all.

Johnson didn't want to go into too much detail about the WGA case because it is ongoing, but did confirm there is arbitration going on.

Warner Bros. and ABC have in the past called their concept of "V" a remake of Johnson's original in both interviews and at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

Hollywood does have a long and storied history with disputes over credits and such. Nearly a decade ago, Fox gave sole creation credit for the series "Harsh Realm" to "The X-Files" alum Chris Carter, and removed all references to the creators of the comic book that the series was based on. Fox later lost that dispute and had to restore the credit of the original creators, although they cancelled the series before that was finalized.

Πω ρε φιλε αυτο το V το περιμενω πραγματικα πως και πως.

Ασχολειται με ενα απο τα αγαπημενα μου(αν οχι το αγαπημενο) θεμα, με τυχον εξωγηινες νοημονες μορφες ζωης και μαλιστα -και εδω ειναι το καλυτερο- ειναι κι αυτοι ανθρωποι και οχι γλοιωδη ανθρωπομορφα τερατακια με μεγαλα σχιστα ματια.

Απο τα trailer και τα 2 sneak peeks αυτα, εχω μεινει αφωνος. Φαινεται τελειο!

Οι προσδοκιες μου ειναι σε δυσθεωρητα υψη για την σειρα και δεν ξερω αν ειναι καλο η κακο. Παντως, δειχνει να εχει φοβερο potential. Μακαρι να ανταπεξελθει στις προσδοκιες μας :)

Παιδιά, δεν ξέρω αν είμαι off topic αλλά έχω την εξής απορία: Το V, πώς το ζητάμε απ' τον "Θείο"? Ο "θείος" χρειάζεται από 4 γράμματα και πάνω για να αναζητήσει τα δώρα που του ζητάμε!

btw ξέρω ότι ακόμα δεν έχει κυκλοφορήσει αλλά ήδη σκέφτομαι την ενδεχόμενη ταλαιπωρία του συνεχούς scrolling προς αναζήτηση του επιθυμητού επεισοδείου!

Επειδή αποφεύγω τα spoilers, σπάνια μπαίνω σε τέτοια θέματα.

Δεν είναι κι ό,τι καλύτερο, αλλά αν το θέλεις σε μικρότερο μέγεθος, οι ατέλειες δεν θα φαίνονται τόσο.

1983-84 τα 2 πρώτα που αξίζουν ("V - the Miniseries" και "V - The Final Battle").
Μετά το Final Battle, ήρθε το V: The Tv Series που ήταν κακό - από περίπου 20 επεισόδια, αξίζουν μόνο τα πρώτα κ τα τελευταία.

They have come to Earth with the promise of peace, but if you've seen the original series then you'll be aware that the Visitors' intensions are slightly more hostile. Despite the knowledge of their real agenda on Earth, the characters of "V" remain aloof and morally ambiguous.

And don’t expect that to change, as not even the cast know the true agenda of their characters.

"Lisa, I hope she's good," actress Laura Vandervoort told Zap2It. "They haven’t told me and they like to keep it that way so that we don’t give anything away in our performances. If I knew then I could give it away somehow, unintentionally. So I'm not sure but I know which way I'd like her to go which is I'd like her to be a good person. And be there for peace always. But you know maybe I'm just gonna trick the audience."

Originally though, her character was originally intended to be a recurring one, however she was quickly elevated to a series regular which means that the character of Lisa will be expanded upon as the weeks progress. And, according to Vandervoort, there are some huge reveals on the way. Not just for her character though, there is a lot

"There's some huge surprises that are gonna happen for Lisa's character," she explained. "Every single episode blows us out of the water. Every time I read the script There's something huge given away, that's why it's great. Anyone can tune in at any time and there's always a revelation for the character. And that happens for Lisa. There's a big thing she'll deal with."

Her co-star, Morris Chestnut, also confirmed that there is some fascinating developments on the way for the show that will shock viewers. And his character, Ryan, is very much a part of it.

"The next twist involving Ryan will shock you," he also told Zap2It. "You won't see it coming. I didn't see it coming."

Unfortunately though, it'll likely be 2010 before those episodes air ... but it will all start in the fourth episode before the show goes on hiatus.

"We've filmed, it's not a reveal, but some very interesting things. That's where they had to reveal to me. 'Okay guys, what's going on, why am I doing this?' It has something to do with his background and his whole relationship to do with the aliens."

Leapin’ lizards! ABC isn’t commenting, but sources confirm that the network is bringing V back for a 13-episode second season. The troubled reboot has rebounded creatively and ratings-wise in recent weeks.
