Πολλές αλλαγές φέρνει η νέα σεζόν αρχίζοντας με την αλλαγή ημέρας προβολής, αφού μεταφέρεται την Παρασκευή. Επιπλέον έχουμε αλλαγές στο cast, η Jennifer Morrison (Emma) δε θα επιστρέψει ως series regular για την 7η σεζόν, πάντως δήλωσε πως θα εμφανιστεί σε ένα επεισόδιο, αλλά κι οι Rebecca Mader, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin & Jared S. Gilmore δε θα επιστρέψει. Οι Lana Parrilla (Regina) και Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold) είναι κοντά στο να κλείσουν νέα συμφωνια για νέα σεζον, ενώ ο Colin O’Donoghue (Hook) έχει έναν ακόμη χρόνο συμβόλαιο. Η νέα σεζον θα επικεντρωθεί σε αυτούς τους τρεις και στον Andrew J. West (The Walking Dead), ο οποίος έμφανίστηκε για πρώτη φορά στο φινάλε της έκτης σεζόν.
